What is LAC?

For those of you who may not know about the Lifestyle Alternatives Centre of Palm Beach (LAC), the first thing I can share is that LAC is unlike most any other adult alternative lifestyle organization, group, business or facility that you may be involved with or have visited before.

There are only two other organizations with their own facility in the US that I know of that are similar to LAC in structure and operations, and those organizations and facilities are located in California and Illinois (if you know of more, please let me know!).

Don't get me wrong, there are some wonderful organizations, groups, businesses and facilities out there, but from my understanding, many are commercial in nature and licensed as such or not licensed at all. Regardless, there are some great groups, organizations, businesses and facilities that are outstanding, whether for profit, not-for-profit or non-profit.

As a private not-for-profit membership corporate organization in the State of Florida, LAC is a member funded organization and facility that serves as community center, meeting hall, art gallery, library and social/event gathering place. The LAC facility hosts a minimum of 10 events scheduled each month for members and guests to choose from and enjoy.

LAC is NOT a commercial business with a license for "pay and play", so both members and guests must register for each event that they plan to attend through the LAC website online and through the secure server of the member or attendee's choice before any event registration deadline.

Once you first arrive at the LAC facility, and for the protection of both the LAC members and guests, an age and identity verification is done, as well as the visiting guest/member agreements (consisting of a liability waiver, facility use agreement, acknowledgments and consent form) that will require your signature and showing of a legal form of photo identification .

Before your second visit to the LAC facility or any LAC related activity, LAC does a national SOR (Sex Offender Registry) and abuse/domestic violence check and as long as there is nothing related to you listed (investigation, charges pending, trial pending or conviction), you are welcome to return to LAC related events, the LAC facility or join as a member.

Here is a more "formal" description ABOUT LAC:

The Lifestyle Alternatives Centre of Palm Beach (LAC) was founded in 2004 and originated from its roots in the organization known as BDSM-Village. LAC was founded and is the only Florida corporate and privately owned not-for-profit membership organization, established as a LLC corporate entity that has the largest member and non-member guests funded facility in the State. The organization is also subsidized through donations, contributions and support sponsorships to supplement its monthly membership and event registration fees revenue.

Non-member guests are welcome at most events. Non-Member Event Registration Fees for range from $12.50 to $40.00 per person per standard event, depending on the type of event. Special events can range from $20.00 to $80.00 per person. XTRA special event registration fees depend on what the cost to LAC is to produce.

Membership ranges from $10 per month to $150.00 per month per person (depending on the membership plan option).Most individuals, couples and families applying for membership are eligible for distance, couple and family discounts. As a LAC member, ALL standard events are FREE and there is a 50% discount off of special events, with added benefits of private facility use with the Platinum or Platinum Plus Memberships. Again, XTRA special event registration fees depend on what the cost to LAC is to produce.

LAC is devoted to providing informational, educational experiential and social events that proactively and positively support and perpetuate alternative lifestyle arts, performances, cultures, histories, philosophies, practices and a sense of family that is relative to GLBTQ and Pansexual SM, Leather, Dominance/submission, M/s, Polyamory and Fetishes/Kinks through community involvement for adults age 18 years of age and older.

Your membership, non-member guest event registration fees, donations, contributions and support sponsorships help LAC to continue to cover its operations and facility costs, as well as meet its Vision and Mission to provide a variety of resources that are that are risk-aware, consensual, non-exploitative in any and all forms and thoughtful options, including:

1. Warm welcoming by the Pansexual membership and regular non-member guests, as well as providing a sense of openness, candor, honesty, community involvement and family;
2. A safe and open environment that encourages questions and the possibility for answers/options that result in gaining resources and positive experiences;
3. Gleaning of information on the variety of forms of various alternative arts, performances, cultures, histories, philosophies, practices, relationships, life, lifestyles and living that support Pansexual SM, Leather, Dominance/submission, M/s, Polyamory and Fetishes/Kinks;
4. Introductions to a variety of alternative lifestyle practices by live presenters with expertise in their presentation topics;
5. Exposure to hands-on experiences through demonstrations from the Top or the bottom;
6. Education options that are focused on mentoring and/or teaching styles, techniques, philosophies, practices and modalities to preserve and perpetuate histories and cultures of various alternative lifestyles;
7. Experience individually and through guided or impromptu practice/play and hands-on practical applications that support honing skills in a manner that supports translating alternative arts into or onto living form/s (being the human body or bodies) as safely as possible;
8. Social Networking at the LAC facility and functions, with opportunities to meet, interact and network with others who have similar interests, as well as want to have or help instill a sense of community and family;
9. Opportunities to promote or be exposed to a variety of non-LAC and Pansexual related alternative arts, culture, life, lifestyles and living LAC special interest groups, as well as other groups, organizations and businesses that may benefit LAC members and non-member guests through their special programs, discounts or offerings; and
10. A safe, secure, gated and protected facility with minimal liability, risk or breach of privacy or confidentiality, with many knowledgeable member event hosts and volunteers to support everything LAC as an organization, membership and facility provides.

The LAC facility well-lit, with a gated parking lot that is located in a city and county that is supportive of its mission. The LAC Event Hosts always make sure that individuals are safely escorted to their vehicles upon leaving any event.

Please make special note that the LAC organization and facility is a COMMUNITY CENTER, so it is more like an art gallery, museum or country club gone kinky.  LAC is NOT a dungeon, fetish party, swingers, sex, strip or night club - although when you explore, learn, share and grow at LAC, you can probably go out and enjoy all those other venues even more!

Just remember the old saying, "Knowledge is Power" and know that LAC is all about empowering you at a facility that is all about a sense of comfort, ease, community and family.

The calendar also lists some other events and munches in Southeast Florida that are not at the LAC facility and as a courtesy to the other groups and organizations producing those events and munches.

Checking the monthly Calendar of Events regularly is the best way to find out what is on schedule.

So, that's the basics of the LAC and its facility's monthly line-up of events :) I can guarantee you that on most Friday or Saturday evenings the LAC members will welcome you and give you the grand tour whenever you may register and attend your first event as a new member or non-member guest.

As a non-member guest, whether you join us as a member is totally up to you, but if you believe in what LAC is doing, we hope that you will.
